Copied Data entity: Results. Error(s) occurred while writing entity record.

Hello,

I have copied a standard "Read-Only" data entity to make it possible to use it for Import also.

New staging table is also generated.

To test I have first exported the data (only importable fields) in excel and have changed several values.

The Key on entity is PurchForecast.RecId field.

After I import the file I'm getting error "Results. Error(s) occurred while writing entity record."

How can I track what a real error is?

I have the same question (0)

If you can't find anything more in the logs, perhaps the easiest way is to insert entity data in code (runnable class). Now you should get some better error messages.

The entity has a Recid from main datasource in fields "PurchForecast.RecId".

So, the Key on staging table is "PurchForecast.RecId", "DefinitionGroup", "ExecutionId".

As in file I only have "Importable fields", there is no PurchForecast.RecId in my excel.

If I import the file with only 1 record, it is ok.

If I have 2 or more records, then I get the error message about duplicate records.

What would be the solution in this case?

That's why the original entity is read only - there's no natural key that could be used in import.

Your import data must include key field(s) which the system uses to identify unique records and determine whether a new record should be created or existing record updated.

Could you tell us a bit more about your business requirement? Where is this data coming from?
