Hi

(I am beginner in D365 F and O)
Please help me

I have created a class which will import the record from Excel and inserts into Tables , In my case the tables are

1.Ledgerjournaltrans

2.Ledgerjournaltable.

I am facing issue in viewing the records on form.

I can able to see only last leagl entity journal number and  rest of the legqal entity journal  are imported from Excel and even though they are present in the table , they are not visible on the form.

Is there anything which needs to be taken care while excel import into table ?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Kailash,

    Firstly, Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations has a Data Management workspace where you can import Excel files. Entities for the general journals are supported. I wonder why you are not using this? You did develop something that is already standard.

    When they are currently not visible on the form; check the differences between the records that are and those which are not visible. Probably the field Posted is set to 'Yes'? In that case, try to change the 'Show' control to 'All' or 'Posted'.

    As mentioned by Andre, it's definetely recommended to use the out of the box data entities instead of creating your custom logic. But anyway you can use table browser to compare records that you imported from Excel, and records that are created via D365 user interface, and most likely you will find the difference.

    And finally, if you need help with your custom code, sharing your code is a good starting point :)

    Hi Kailsh,

    As mentioned, that method is simpler.

    Also, did you refresh the data source after inserting the data? Or can you be sure that the entire data is inserted instead of just the last one?

    DataSource.refresh();

    DataSource.research(true);

    creating our own framework is lot of work and maintenance

    ideally should leverage data management and open in Excel
