Chat between Portal Users

Hello everybody!

How do you think what is the best way to provide chat between two portal users on Microsoft Portal CRM. Not between CRM User (as admin) and Portal User (as portal contact). We need to have message exhanging between two persons registered on Portal.

Ideas:

1) Create secured Forum Threads which are available only for two users.

2) Open corresponding messanger if user authorised via external account.

3) Find ready-made product/solution for it

Please write new ideas and share your experience. Thank you.

    Standard advised chat extension for the Portals is CafeX - crm.fueledbysleep.com/.../how-to-setup-and-use-cafex-live-assist-for-microsoft-portals
    If CafeX can support chat between portal users (and not only with CRM users), then it is the preferable option, as they have implemented many integrations.

    But if not, you can use any chat solution, I don't want to advertise something, but the first result I found was https://talkjs.com/ which is what I think you need.

    You can always add simple webtemplate to the Portal to retrieve some basic info, like
    var userid = '{{user.id}}'; 

    to inject it to the chat mechanism.

    If you can find any chat solution which supports Azure Active Directory B2C Authentication - your will have the pretty secure solution.
    In case you can limit user auth to B2C, you can use github.com/.../dynamics-portal-companion-app to support any type of chat engine.
