Business Portal 6.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter

There have been lots of discussion about Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter and Dynamics SL 2011 FP1. We just did a new installation of that and SharePoint 2013, all on VM's and all on Windows Server 2012 R2 Datacenter. Today, I went to install Business Portal 6.1 (designed for SharePoint 2013 in 2010 compatibility mode) and I get a pop up saying "Your operating system does not meet requirements for Business Portal". ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! We have just spent the last 5 days and thousands of dollars, rebuilding our server and VM's, for this program to tell us the above? I saw a thread that said KB 2892913 would fix this but the link had BP 5.1 and not Hot Fix was on the site.

    Bill,

    It should work, but we have see where it doesn't.  Not sure why sometimes it works on datacenter and sometimes it doesn't.   For anyone reading this, submit a support case with Microsoft and we can provide a modified installer that should work.   Reference bug 71116.

    We were given a patch file that would allow us to install BP 6.1 on Server 2012 R2 Datacenter.  We later upgraded to SL 2015 and now use Web Apps instead of BP and SharePoint.  Less headaches.
