Hello,

I changed my financial year end  from June to December by extending my fiscal year to december 2012.

But if i want to run the GL posting for fixed asset  it will give me this error message 'Transaction Date must be on the fsical year setup' Error number 30910059.

Please how do i correct this issue.

Thank you

    Thank you for the post!

The error message you are receiving indicates that you do not have corresponding years setup in both the Company Fiscal Period Setup and the FA Fiscal Period Setup.

I would suggest you open a support case for further troubleshooting here, as how and when you change your FA Calendar plays a large role in the depreciation of your assets. If the FA Calendar is not re-built at the appropriate time, you may find unexpected depreciation amounts associated with your assets.

The fact that you are receiving the error above indicates there is a mismatch between the GL and FA (not sure if that is what you are intending or not). However, in order to ensure you get the desired results, a support case would likely be your best bet.

    Hi,

Since FA period is already created in Fixed Assets before, I guess you need to recreate FA period as per your new company fiscal period.

Please restore live databases backup on test environment and work on test environment.

    Regards,

    Santosh
