Custom Entity does not show in system solution.

Hi everyone,

Currently, I'm facing with the confused problem as below :

The first I create enitity with name : prefix_aay. But I cannot see this entity in Entities structure of Default Solution, although I can see it in Advanced Find.

Could everyone help me to resolve this problem.

When you say default solution I take you mean the system solution or are you looking at a solution in the solutions area in settings?

It's possible as Wei Jie Fun suggested that your browser cache may be giving you some issues so that is something to consider. My deeper question would be what are you attempting to do? The best practice is to create a publisher for yourself or organization and then create a solution to put all your customizations in. This way you don't have to search around all the system entities because only what you put in your solution will be shown. While it's a few extra steps up front for "playing around" it's the practice that helps keep you out of trouble.

I already created solution to contain this entity. But I cannot see it in my solution, and then i tried to find it in system solution. The result is the same, I still don't see this entity.

Hi,

Try download Metadata browser:

docs.microsoft.com/.../browse-your-metadata

Get the right one based on your version of CRM. See if you can see the entity there, and verify that the name/display name is correct, etc...

Maybe this will help you troubleshoot the issue a little further.

There is no reason for an entity not to show up in the default solution.

Also, try Publish All Customizations an see if that helps in any way.

If you created the entity from inside your solution it will be displayed there. All entities regardless of where they come from will be shown in the system solution. The only logical question if you don't see it in either place is was it actually created? Perhaps not.

Hi,

The entity is using Display name instead of schema name, would it be you search based on schema name instead of Display name?

Hi all,

I already searched by schema name and display name but the result is the same.

When I use Browser your metadata, I can see this entity. And then I click edit this entity on Browse, please see my picture below :

I can see information of this entity but It only show in Component node and Primary field tab is disable.
