Hello community,

I added a new temporary table to the FreeTextInvoiceDP class like this:

  • Creating the TemporaryTable
  • adding the getTemporaryTable method,
  • enable the connection in the set connection method

then, i go to visual studio, when i try to add my dataSet, the data provider does not show my newly created table.

Might you please helping me with this issue?

Kind regards

Jihane

Is your method decorated with SRSReportDataSetAttribute? Is it public?

Yes the method is public and is decorated with SRSReportDataSetAttribute.

I run an incremental CIL and also, refreshed + deployed the report in Visual Studio

What if you open the report in VS, right-click the datasource and choose Refresh? (Or something like that.)

Is your VS connecting to the right AX environment?

Make sure your business connector and client configuration are pointing to right environment. RDP datasets and query are populated in VS via connection reference set in configuration.

    Hi Jihane,

Make sure that Visual Studio is connecting to the right AX environment where you added the new temp table.

    Thanks,

    Baber.

    Hi Jihane,

Might sound stupid but everytime I was working with tables and everything my common mistake was to forget to refresh elements in the AOT.

    Cheers,

You may also try to check by refreshing cache from development workspace > Tools > Cache. Generate CIL and restart reporting services, lastly you can try restarting AOS server. You can try this one after confirming that your Visual Studio is connected with correct AOS.

Hello, thank you all for your answers and suggestions, but obviously it was just a data refresh issue.

    Kid regards
