Data Import shows no records imported?

So I exported a view from a dev environment and imported it into our QA environment.  Even though the file has 200 records and there's no errors indicated on the import, it shows that 0 records import....  Does anyone have any idea what could be wrong?  I even tried exporting a blank template from the QA environment and populating that with the data to re-import.  It still shows 0 records being imported :(

Import as a CSV File. Then you will see the uploaded data.

Import the file in .csv format.

    Hi CRM Learner 8,

Can you please confirm if the file that you attempted to upload was in CSV format?

Also, have you tried clearing your browser cache and reloading the browser?

Please confirm which one worked for you.

    Thanks!

Thanks, converting it to .cvs made it work after spending more than 1 hour trying to figure it out on my own :)

RE: Data Import shows no records imported?

I had the same problem with exporting from one Dynamics 365 instance to another.  I exported data into an xlsx file from one instance, and then imported it to another, but although it gave a status reason of Completed, the import says there was 0 Successes, 0 partial failures, 0 errors, 0 total processed (despite there definitely being rows in the Excel spreadsheet).

When I performed the import of the xlsx (via Data Management> Import) it didn't take me through the mapping wizard as I would have expected, it just took me straight to a "Submit" button.

However when I save the xlsx file as a csv I found it worked ok and imported the data file.  Also when I zipped the xlsx and imported that it also imported the data fine.

Is this a bug in CRM?

Zip up the file and import the zip file.

    Hi,

Go To Settings -> Data management -> Imports. There you can find the job created for your Import. Double-Click and open that job and go to failures tab. There you can find the log for error for each column/row for why that data import failed. You can check out the reason from there and correct your data and try importing again.

    Hope this helps !

    Thanks,

    Sam

Reset iisreset or asynch service or uncheck the duplicate detection rule in import wizard

    Hi,

Assuming you are using on premise, did you try to run IISRESET ?? you can also try to restart asyn service.

    Thanks
