Please i need help troubleshooting the error message i got when trying to install workflow for GP 10. The error is: "Please configure the Windows Sharepoint Services Timer service to run as a domain account."
My problem here is that i am deploying a single server configuration for test purposes, and my system is not on any domain. Is having a domain account necessary for this installation.
I would really appreciate your prompt response. Thanks.

Have you tried creating and using a local account for the timer service, rather than one of the builtin in accounts Network Service etc. The local account you create must have sufficiant permissions to access the SharePoint databases. Check out the SharePoint forums for details on changing the login account for the SahrePoint timerservice (OWSTIMER.EXE)
An extra gotcha you cannot install web services on an AD controller so if you want a single server install you cannot convert your machine to an AD controller to bypass this issue.
