Hi, i am wondering if we can create more than one company in GP 2010? Our customer want to purchase few licenses of GP 2010. They have parent company and a subsidiary. Do they need to install separate instance of GP for each subsidiary?
They are planning on hosting GP from their private cloud. Since they will be integrating with CRM 2011 online, Will GP require dedicated server or will the cloud servers (VM) be good enough?
Thank you

To add to Frank's response....as long as the second company is legally a related company (more than 50% owned) then under the End User Licence Agreement you can set the company up. So...for example you couldn't host the accounts of an unrelated company. Outside of that you can set up an unlimited number of companies under the one install / licence. Note that the GL licence is only licenced for a single server install...so you can't use the same licence keys on multiple servers.
Ian.
You can have unlimited company databases in one instance. Integrating with CRM from within the cloud should work fine.
