Suggest location

When receiving items on a purchase order I would like the system to suggest a put location, but I can't seem to get this to work.

There is even a suggest location button taunting me in the screen and pressing it does absolutely nothing. The Location field is just staying blank.

As far as I understand, the system looks at the location directives for this information, and I’ve tried both advanced and pretty basic setups. Are there any other places I should look?

Describe the setup you have. You've most probably made an error in the setup somewhere

    Location Directive:

Multiple SKU ticked (Don't know if it should be though)

    Lines:

    0-99999999 pcs

    Noting other parameters selected

    Location Directive Actions:

Tried everything... From Advanced and even one location to just one line With no filter other than the default Warehouse.

Multiple SKU was the issue! Can anyone explain why it didn't work With multiple SKU?

Multi-SKU check-box means that this location directive will only apply for work lines, where the work line is for "multiple" items.

Now, that is not the case when doing receiving of goods, all items are received individually, so there's no point creating such a location directive.

where it does make sense is for Put action for Sales operations with Directive code for Stage/Baydoor puts
