Showing " License has Expired" error even though I have Business Central license assigned.

For past two months I been using free trial version for Business Central, and it expired last week. My company did assign me Business Central for IWs license while back, however when I was performing Run Migration Now under Cloud Migration Management this error popped up:

Company creation failed with error You cannot sign into the company because your license has expired, or the trial period has ended. However, you can still use the demonstration company. Please fix this and re-run the Cloud Migration Setup wizard.

How can I fix this? P.S I'm using Business Central online version.

Thanks!

You simply need a new valid license.

So it means that there is no valid license assigned to your Azure AD account.

Probably you are assigned an expired trial license.

If you company has valid licenses please have you sys admin check the license assignment.

Hi, The tenant period of the trial version is generally 30 days, and the validity period of the environment is 30 days (it can be expanded once to 60 days)

    More details: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/business-central/dev-itpro/administration/trials-subscriptions#when-a-free-trial-expires

And you can convert a 30-day trial company into actual production company.

    Hope this helps as well.

    Thanks.

Just a quick follow up, so the IWs License only grants access to evaluation companies? Because I'm still able to log into and create new evaluation companies, but not the production companies. When I had the free trail, I was able to create and log into production companies also.

Hi, No, IWs License can also create new companies, maybe your trial environment is beyond 30 days.
    Hope the following helps.
