Hi
I would like to know with D365 Supply Chain Management Platform, should we not use supply chain modules in D365 Finance and Operations anymore? What are the major differences? Thank you!
Hi Cavewoman,
You can learn more about Microsoft Supply Chain Platform on the blog from Microsoft. You will then be able to understand that the Supply Chain Center can collect data from multiple Supply Chain Management software solutions to get insights and in case of disruptions get alerts and take actions.
First of all, there is no such thing as D365 Supply Chain Management Platform. There is Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management and a suite of other products related to supply chain - Dynamics 365 Intelligent Order Management, Dynamics 365 Guides and the most recent product Microsoft Supply Chain Center, which is still in Preview state.
If you are attempting to compare Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management and Dynamics 365 Finance, then from the product perspective this comparison is irrelevant since both solutions are based on a single SKU - Dynamics 365 F&O (Finance and Operations). Microsoft has decoupled Dynamics 365 F&O into two solutions (still the same SKU from a product perspective) to simplify licensing consumption for businesses that don't implement both Supply Chain and Finance business processes in one ERP system.
Hi,
Supply chain management platform can be integrated with your ERP system. You can integrate with D365 FO or any other ERP like SAP.
