CUSTOM TENDER REPORT

ReportReport
Posted on by 70

The standard tender reports work well for me but I would like a number of transactions for each type.  Example I am looking for a new check guarantee service and they wanted to know the number of transaction per month.  I can easily get the dollar amount but the number of transactions is more difficult.  I can sit there and count them all but who has time for that?  I own a convenience store that is high volume.  Thanks in advance.

    Joshua, if you are at all familiar with how to run a SQL Statement against your database, you can try using this script. I have not thoroughly tested this script, but I think it should get you the information you are looking for. You will want to modify the date range that you want to get data from...

    Currently, this script is getting all transactions between January 1, 2013 through January 31, 2013.

    SELECT TE.[Description], COUNT(TE.[Description])

    FROM TenderEntry TE

    LEFT JOIN [Transaction] T ON TE.TransactionNumber = T.TransactionNumber

    WHERE T.[Time] >= '1/1/2013' AND T.[Time] <= '1/31/2013'

    GROUP BY TE.[Description]

    ORDER BY TE.[Description]

    I unfortunately am not familiar with that part of it.  I will forward this info to the rep we purchased from and see if they can assist me with it.  Thanks for the help.  Is there any way thru the user interface to get this data?

    The only other possible solution is if you have access to the Microsoft CustomerSource login page. If you are current on your Microsoft Yearly Maintenance, then you should have access. If not, then ask your Microsoft Partner to see if they can look and see if there are any custom reports already built by Microsoft that gives you this information. I do not believe this info is available right out of the box.
