Data Management Projects - can setup be automated?

We have a lot of entities set up for data export in data management, every time we get a new environment, we have to configure this manually, which is time consuming and prone to errors. Can this be created/configured programmatically?  I thought taking a database backup and restoring it to another environment would work but I'm told it will not.

    Yes, the setup for Dynamics 365 F&O Data Management projects can be automated programmatically. You can use the APIs and development tools provided by Dynamics 365 F&O to automate the setup process. By writing custom code, you can create entities, define data export rules, and configure other related settings. This way, instead of manually configuring each time you get a new environment, you can run an automation script or program that handles the setup process, saving time and reducing the risk of errors.

    Hi, In addition, one way is to download Data Management Projects from source environmentand import in new environment.
