Hello all, I have a question. I have an SKU that has Replenishment system=Purchase and Reordering policy=Max qty. I do not have any orders for this item and any lead time. When I run Calculate plan, the due date is set to 07.05.2025 even though today is 16.05.2025. I do not get, where it gets this date from, I have calendar set up.

Thank you

    Due date in requisition worksheet

Maybe this will help clarify it.

The due date is usually based on the start date you enter in the Calculate Plan request page. The system plans from that date forward, so if your start date is, for example, 06/05/2025, it will schedule the supply for 07/05/2025.

Even if today is 16/05/2025, the system doesn’t automatically use today’s date unless it's set in the filter.

    Due date in requisition worksheet
    Hello,

In Business Central, when using the Replenishment System = Purchase and Reordering Policy = Maximum Quantity, the system calculates the due date based on various factors like the inventory availability date, safety stock, and the calendar setup. If you're seeing a due date earlier than today (like 07.05.2025 while today is 16.05.2025), it's likely because the inventory planning logic assumes the item should have been replenished earlier to maintain stock according to the maximum quantity setup.

The absence of lead time or existing demand doesn't prevent the system from using historical or setup-based demand triggers. Also, ensure that the work calendar, safety lead time, and inventory levels are correctly configured, as these can influence the calculation. The system backdates it to when the stock level dipped below the reorder point, triggering a planned order to meet historical availability.

    Hope this will help you!

    Regards,
    Mansi Soni

    Due date in requisition worksheet
    Hello  @,

It depends on the start date in the filter page of the Calculate Plan. The system will take the next date after the start date. For example, if you set the start date as 06/05/25, it will use 07/05/2025 as the due date.

    Hi

Below are the possibilities you can check and verify let me know if it helps you.

    Check your Work Date.

    Dampener Period

    Rescheduling Period

    Safety Lead Time

    Review SKU Planning Parameters:
Verify the Base Calendar and its working days.

Re-run "Calculate Plan" in the Requisition Worksheet after these checks.

    Thanks,

    KP
