How to edit SSRS Reports

I have an AX2012 R3 installation, on SQL 2014 and with Visual Studio 2010 installed.

But when i try to edit my SSRS reports i get an error, Unable to preview the report, install the Business Intelligence Development Studio feature of Microsoft SQL Server.

But BIDS does not seem to be a part of the SQL 2014 installation, so what do i install?

    what is exact version of your AX? is that AX2012 R3 or AX2012 R3 CU8 or something else?

    It is AX Version : 6.3.2000.326, so thats Cumulative Update 9

    you should uninstall VS 2010, then uninstall VS 2010 tools

    then install VS2013 and finally install VS2013 Tools

    VS 2010 was valid till AX2012R3 (6.3.164.0)

    in addition, after installation of VS13+ VS13 Tools, make sure you have  Microsoft SQL Server Data Tools 2013, located on your Control Panel>> All programs.

    If that's not located, you can download and install those manually from below URL

    www.microsoft.com/.../details.aspx

    Version of SQL Server Data Tools  will be 12.0.50318.0
