What is the difference between DESIGN and PERSONALISE mode in BC?

Also, i see DESIGN mode is an option in our Sandbox environment, but not in our Production environment. Any reason why?

Thanks

So design in Sandbox, because you can make some additional format modifications, and then upload the extension.  It is not in production, because you wouldn't be making those kid of changes in production. Personize allows you to make some changes/ mostly view and unview pre-determined fields to meet your personal needs a bit more.

    Hi Stefano

Thanks for the info provided above and the link, however if I may ask:

When you download the extension code from the Extension Manager, the Zip folder contains only a .JSON & .AL File....I was expecting a .APP file to upload into our Production environment.

    Thanks,

When you click on Download Code you can download a zip package with a .AL file that contains all the modifications you've done in the customized object. You can load this file in VS Code and modify them or add these modifications to a biggest project (for example if you want to consolidate things).

To download the app file, you can go to Extension Management page and then downloading the .app file from here.
