Item Cost per store values

Hi everyone.

I have notices a strange issue in an RMS HQ environment: the cost per store values, in the Item properties (Store Cost tab), are shown in strange format, alphanumerical value, where it should be decimal, double or is same cases integer… The values have formats like “2o0e2” or “12o0e30” or similar…

I’ve tried changing the global Item cost configuration in RMS HQ and RMS Store Ops, but no results…

The information stored on SQL level, ItemDynamic table, is correct. I have double-checked this with a personal report I have done.

Is this a known issue or I’m missing something?

Regards, A.

    Hi Shawn.

Done that, different machines with RMS HQ, but same incorrect values, no changes. Also, I've re-installed RMS HQ and the same... I'm trying something new, by changing the regional settings of the database server and SQL collation, to see if it works... When I have the results, will publish it here...

    Hello Antonijo,

I would recommend checking the other machines using HQ Manager to see if that has the same issue.  If the problem is with the application on one machine, then you should try to re-install Headquarters.  Otherwise, restore a backup of the database and see if the issue persists.

    Best Regards,

    Shawn with Microsoft Retail Support.

    Hi Jeff,

Thanks for the reply. I have tryed what you have suggested, step by step, just in case done everything twice, but no results...

I think the problem is a bug in RMS, in the Item property form, as the value in the SQL table is correct and it's updated correctly each time I make a cost change in the store...

    Any other ideas?

    Regards, A.

Has the database ever been opened in Excel? One should never use the live database.

To fix, I would start by re-indexing and run a database check at HQ and the Store(s), then at HQ, do a 501 for each store and then run a 190 task to update the info at HQ.

Also make sure that you are on the same version of RMS on all machines in the enterprise.
