Running Company Backup in Dynamics GP 2013

When running the Maintenance --> Backup in Dynamics GP 2013, system prompted an Unknown Error message.

Got the client to try / check on the below areas:-

1. Have sufficient Write permission to the backup destination folder.

2. Use POWERUSER login to perform the backup.

3. Running Dynamics GP in the same server as the SQL Server Database Service.

I'm not sure if there are any other areas / settings that i should look at, either in Dynamics GP itself, and/or SQL Server. Any help and enlightenment is much appreciated.

Additional Details of the environment (Database Server):-

Windows Server 2012

SQL Server 2012 SP1

Dynamics GP 2013 SP2 (12.00.1482)

Logged in as Domain User

Open the Event Viewer from SQL server installed server and check the event log under the Application to find whether any error occurred. This will helps you to find out the cause of the unknown error.

Also check the backup application log file(Default Path: c:\Program Files\Microsoft SQL Server\MSSQL.xx\MSSQL\LOG).

Also a Dexsql.log might tell you more if you create one.
