Refresh SharePoint Document Grid from external asp.net web application

Hello,

I have integrated the Dynamics CRM 2016 (8.1.0.359) with SharePoint 2016 and I have enabled the Document Management for the Account entity.

Now when I go to any particular account entity record, then click on Documents from navigation it will show me the documents in the SharePoint Document Grid related to respective record which are stored in SharePoint.

As I had few requirements which were not possible OOTB in CRM, I have developed an Asp.Net web application which accepts the document from the user and upload it to the respective SharePoint Document location. Now my requirement is, as soon as the document gets uploaded to the SharePoint for the respective entity record, the SharePoint document grid should be refreshed automatically.

So is it possible to refresh the SharePoint document grid from external asp.net web application or any other way? If yes, then please share the reference link or code.

Thanks in advance.

Aa far as I know that is not possible. There are no ui api's available that you can call from outside CRM and other options would be cross site scripting, which could be a security risk.

    Thanks Martijn for your answer.

I was 99%sure that this won't be possible but just needed the confirmation.  However can we do something like this?

    1. Create any custom process that will refresh the grid

    2. We call the custom process from the external asp.net web application

Or is there any other way we can refresh the grid after the document gets uploaded to the SharePoint?

    I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it's possible.
