WMS - pick a different batch during work processing

Hi,

I'm processing a work to pick material for a sales order (from AOT form WHSWorkExecute).

During the pick operation, I want to change the batch to pick.

Is there a setup that makes possible to do this?

I need to change the batch during picking for:

1. items with batch reservation hierarchy above

2. items with batch reservation hierarchy under

Using item type (1), no button is available in the form to override the batch.

Using item type (2), I can override the location and scan license plate that belongs to a different batch. But the system returns me the error "batch falls outside the sellable days" (the batches will expire in 2017).

Thank you,

Nadia

If there is only one batch at the location, the system will pick this.

You need to check the available item on that location, and location profile that selected in location directive location profile. Also check the self life and sellable days in item master.

    1) The batch number to pick is decided by the sales department (that's why it's batch above), which means that the warehouse worker cannot override it during work execution. If you need to change it, you should cancel the work, re-reserve the order line using the desired batch, and re-process the wave.

    2) The warehouse worker is able to pick a different batch from the location he is directed to, or, if he can override the pick location, he can scan in a different one which has the correct batch (like what you seem to have tried). The error about sellable days is a Process Industries feature, you should check the item and confirm that the batch settings (sellable days, expiration / best before are set correctly - also check the model group setup) as well as the batch number dates.
