Hi. We are using CRM 2011 On Premise.
We have built our Case processing so that ownership of a case will change according to a custom field called Case Status. The thing is that we do not want to change the Case Status (and as a result the owner of a case while there are open activities associated with that case).
If someone tries to change the Case Status field we want to trigger some JavaScript that will see if there are Any Open activities associated with the case.
If there are Not any Open activities then we want to allow that person to change the Case Status field and then the ownership.
If there are Open activities then we do Not want to change the Case Status field and want to send a message to the screen saying something along the lines of "You cannot change the Case Status until all of the open activities are closed."
Can someone help point us in the right direction for creating that JavaScript? It would be even better if the proposed solution is Microsoft CRM supported.
