Categorised Search - Entity Not Available to be Selected

Hi,

We want to add another entity into the Categorised Search but the entity isn't appearing in the list to be selected.

What are settings for the entity to appear in the list to be selected?

We have a Quick Find view and columns to be searched on selected.

But the entity isn't appearing.

Any help would be great

    Hi DarrenMog,

    Is the entity added to the app where you are using in the App Designer? If it's not loaded in there, it will not show up in your categorized search.

    For example, I have two custom entity (custom and A), custom entity is in the app designer but A isn’t.

    Go settings > Apps > open in App Designer.

    1.They all are added to the selected list of the Categorized Search.

    2.They all have quick find view and columns that can be searched.

    3.Test.

    The entity is in the application.

    Hi DarrenMog,

    The ‘Block’ entity is custom entity you created, because I’m not find it in my environment.

    In general, all entities will appear in the ‘available entities’ list, apart from it has been selected and it has been in the ‘selected entities’ list, just like ‘B’ entity:

    If ‘Block’ entity not appear in these two lists, maybe you can create new ‘block’ entity to tyr again.

    Or you can try to use Relevance Search, which improved performance compared to Categorized Search.

    Hi,

    That's our main problem, it is a custom entity but it's not appearing in the list on the left hand side, other custom entities are.

    We are already using the data within this custom, so i can't recreate it.

    It's very strange, why it is not appearing.

    We have logged a technical call with Microsoft about why it is not appearing.

    Hi Leah,

    Unfortunately not, all the information you have sent, we have checked and everything is as expected.

    We have opened a technical ticket with Microsoft Dynamics Support.

    Once I get a response, I will update this ticket with the answer.
