Changes in Account Class link doesn't saved

I have unchecked the account numbers which shouldn't have any link to Class ID. However, everything when I go back to account class link and look under the Class ID, the boxes for those account numbers still checked. How can I save the changes?

    Your post is a little confusing. There are numerous Class IDs (item, vendor, customer, etc.) Classes have an Account Button, which allows default accounts to be assigned to each type of transaction, related to a customer, vendor or item. The only class that has check boxes, I can think of is the Vendor Class, which allows for the definition of multiple purchases accounts using an ellipses button (...) When accounts are assigned under the ellipses button, a check box can be selected to default an account on transactions, but allow for the selection of alternatives. Any changes to class settings will trigger a dialogue, which will ask if the change should be rolled down to items, customers or vendors assigned to this class - you should answer yes to this, if you wish the changes to affect all members of the class.

    If I am not mistaken, I believe lleung is talking about the "Account Class Link" in the analytical accounting module, in which you choose a class and all the accounts are retrieved in order to get them linked or not.

    Well, basically, there is no "save" button in this screen and your action should be saved right after it is performed. You may use the "redisplay" button after performing a specific action to make sure it takes effect.

    Just for the sake of argument, have you tried the "sa" or another machine ?

    In Account Class Link window, it is not showing me all accounts. What could be the reason? Can you please help.

    Hi Shahid

    Do you have account level security enabled?  That could stop accounts from showing.
