Multiple hierarchies for business units

Hello Expert,

I have question about organisation hierarchies.

1 is it possible to have multiple hierarchies for Business Units?

I have created Hierarchies for Business unit and published. When i check the tree definition all the department showing as duplicated due to which i am unable to run the MR report. We have another Hierarchy where we have same things for Business units. I believe due to same component it got duplicated.

Please assist me in resolving this issue.

    Hello Tej,

    You can create multiple hierarchies. As long as you save them under a different name there should be no issue.

    Can you share details of your setup and some info on the duplicate business units that you see?

    Thanks for your reply Dr. Ludwig Reinhard

    For Example I have Hierarchy name Bu Unit. In the hierarchy Designer I have added ABC as Business unit and under that business unit i have added 5 Department 1,2,3,4&5 Which is saved and published. When i check the MR reporting tree i see the department are duplicated. I suspect this is because, I have one more hierarchy old one in that hierarchy we have legal entity and same Bu Unit as ABC and 5 Department 1,2,3,4 & 5.

    Hi Tej,

    I found the following issue:

    Issue 3714637Organization Hierarchies with a financial dimension as a parent contains unneeded references to unused financial dimensions - MR CU14 Known Issue

    The text on LCS says that it will be fixed in a future release, which means a newer MR version.

    Have you tried migrating to the latest MR version?

    Hi Dr. Ludwig Reinhard,

    Currently I am using Ax 2012 R2 CU13. Latest version is available is CU16.

    Let me know if CU16 is compatible for R2.

    Cu16 should also work for R2 systems.
