Hello,

My CRM 2013 users have no the "export" button in the differents reports. So they can't export in PDF or others format.

I've Administrator rights, and for me, i can see the "export" button and can export the same report.

I don't know where I can configure this feature.

Thank your for your help.

    Hi,
    you need to set the privilege "Export to Excel" inside the security role of that users. It's under Business Management:

    I think you need to give the Export to Excel security priviledge to those users

    @Ben and Guido - That was an interesting solution! I thought 'Export to Excel' was limited to the CRM App. The Export feature on SSRS Reports is controlled by the SSRS App and could be controlled through the ReportServer.config. In fact, I revoked the 'Export to Excel' permission in CRM and tried to export data to an XL/PDF from the report and I was able to do it successfully.

    Any further information on how 'Export to Excel' CRM permission is linked to SSRS?

    @Karthik

    Could you please tell me what modifications to ReportServer.config file you have done in order to allow users of CRM to get the export button without giving them the "export to excel" right in the CRM (I work on CRM 2011).

    @Karthik - are you viewing the report inside CRM, or directly from the report server?

    It has always been my experience that removing the Export to Excel privilege prevents users exporting in any format (including Excel or PDF, for example) from reports viewed inside CRM.

    This is not always a good thing - it would be great to separate Excel from PDF, perhaps. Of course, once you let someone export data at all, the format becomes irrelevant - if they are determined enough to want to steal your data they will find a way to convert it or copy/paste etc.

    Hi Karthik, can you tell how this was done?
