CRM Reports are not showing updated information...

ReportReport
Posted on by 26

Hello,

I have some custom reports that run just fine, but they don't show the most recent information.  Example, I am running all active case records.  I have a field called Resolution Notes and so this field is a text field that a user can put notes in.  When I run the custom report it shows data in this field as of 10/1/2017.  However, when I go into the record it has newer entries listed.  Also, if I do an advanced fine I can see the newest entries in the field...just not when running the report.  I have tried to make a new report with the same criteria and the same issue happens.  There is no other filtering on the report.

Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,

If this custom report is fetchxml based report.. test your fetchxml for this record only in xrmtoolbox and see resolution notes showing or not.

you need to do same for sql report.. it might be some condition is filtering records and not showing resolution notes.

    Hi ,

Sorry I am bit confused you said you have a text field in the case entity,  and then You mentioned "When I run the custom report it shows data in this field as of 10/1/2017.  "

What is the filter criteria you used in the  report and advanced find ,can you please share screenshot.

If you find the data using advanced find if you are using same filter in the report  you should get the data in report as well.

    How do I do this?

It is a text field.  In this field people put in the date and the note manually.  The only filter criteria is Status = Active  The data is using the same in the report vs advanced find but something is still different because it pulls back different data.

Can you please use saved view in the report wizard condition instead of selecting filter. Use the same saved view which you run in advanced find.

I didn't use a saved view, just did an adhoc advanced find.

I have now saved the view that I used in advanced find and put that in the report, same issue still.  These 2 views when ran are not bringing back the same data.

Can you please double check in the report did you removed the default filter Modified On from the report.

Please share screenshot for both the filter .condition report and advanced find.

So here you select  both the cases saved views , What happen if you  unselect saved views and put only filter.

In addition make sure you don't have duplicate status field with same display name.
