CRM Reports are not showing updated information...

Posted on by 2,645

Hello,

I have some custom reports that run just fine, but they don't show the most recent information.  Example, I am running all active case records.  I have a field called Resolution Notes and so this field is a text field that a user can put notes in.  When I run the custom report it shows data in this field as of 10/1/2017.  However, when I go into the record it has newer entries listed.  Also, if I do an advanced fine I can see the newest entries in the field...just not when running the report.  I have tried to make a new report with the same criteria and the same issue happens.  There is no other filtering on the report.

Any help is appreciated.

    Hi,

I made a advanced view in ms crm for the customer booking and took the fetchxml and i used this fetchxml for my ssrs.

How come that the results are different? It has no filtering but I compared the advanced view that converted to excel and the ssrs where they have the same criteria.

In the Advanced View the total records is 1079 but in my ssrs it has only 501.

There is a problem in the conversion to fetchxml that will be used in my SSRS.

    I need your assistance.

    Thanks.

    Victor

I have this working now, thank you all for your suggestions on trying to fix this issue for me.  It turned out that the issue was security in AD and in SSRS, I had to select prompt user and use database credentials.  I was missing accounts in the PrivReportingGroup.

    Hi,

Are you pointing to correct reporting server?

You need to open deployment manager and check which reporting server is configured.

easy way to find out reporting server from deployment manager is right click on your organization and from property window you will find SSRS report url.

Then login to SSRS report server URL and check CRM data source and make sure it is pointing to correct SQL server.

    hope this will help..

This is happening for all reports.  I can run a report in SSRS successfully and the data is from production and is correct.  But when I run it from CRM it isn't correct and still pulls from another environment.

    Hi..

Is it happening for this report only or all CRM reports?

First think you need to check report data set connection string. you should use "Embedded connection", do not use shared data source

another think on report server check connection string of data set and it is pointing to correct environment.

Also how your are executing report? is it based on custom button click or CRM default run report. If custom button click then make sure you are using correct web resource or correct link to point to correct environment.

I dig some more digging and see that when I run a report in my production environment, it is actually pulling data from my training environment.  Now I am not sure how this is happening.  I went into SSRS and check the connection string and that all seems correct.  Any help is appreciated.

I am seeing updated information when I do an advanced find, but not seeing it when I run the report with the same filtering.  Doesn't matter what login I use.

What differences you are getting in the result ?

Which record are missing comparing the data ?

This is strange ,not sure is there any security role / BU configured for the user?  Try with different System Admin  user login .

In addition can you please check with different field filter condition instead of status field, seems something went wrong with the filter fields.

If I run it in advanced find with the saved view or without, it works correctly.  If I used the saved view or without and just the filter part in the report, it still doesn't work correctly.
