Data Import in CRM 2013 - total records processed not equal to Successfully imported + partially Imported + Error

Hi ,

         I'm importing a txt file with around 15000 records in CRM 2013. The import completes successfully but the count displayed under Successfully imported in Data Imports tab is not equal to its records processed . Around 26 records less than the total records. But when the import file is validated against the data imported thru the back-end DB, all records in the import file are available in CRM DB. 

        The missing count is not consistent either. In the last iteration it was a different import file and the difference in count was 18.

Has anybody faced a similar issue?

    Hi,

    Normally this should not happen, is all the records imported successfully and no import error (kind of record imported partially import) ?? Are you submitting multiple import jobs avoid that and try. You can also do iisreset if import is completed and then check if count is same or not.

    Hi,

    There are no Partially successful records and 1 error record. The total records processed were 15,279 and Successes is 15,252 . The error is for a different reason ( lookup reference issue . I have fixed and re-imported that one successfully).

    Only this import was running . This has happened twice and always at the last or last 2 files imported .I'm importing around 25 files and the last 6 files i import are all 15k + records.

    Will try the iisreset approach and let you know.

    Actually we also see this behavior when we were importing multiple files, but as we got all the data in CRM db so we were not worried :)

    So if all the data is correct and validated in CRM, you should not bother about wrong numbers.

    Ya true :) But when we deploy in Prod we have to make this verification step and was not able to find much information on this case so got a little worried

    Hi All,

    This may be an old thread but also I'm curious to know since I am getting 300+ difference on my total record in spreadsheet compare to "Total Processed" records, and one of my spreadsheet is missing 1 (assume this is the header?), tried re-importing it several time but I am  not getting equal number of records.
