Let me tell you, Getting certified, Learning product and Playing a consultant role are different things but all are vital important to become a good consultant.
As you would be aware that D365 finance and operation has many changes from application and architecture point of view.
I suggest you to first decide What are your areas of interest in D365 FO so you can fully focus on that area. In order to learn any new product. Getting complete understanding of setups are configuration are the key areas. Let's say Pick Financial Management and setup GL/AP/AR/Bank management and run E2E process so that you can fully understand the cycle and outcome of business process.
