Hi:

Since it's not possible to capitalize a project and turn the project into a fixed asset, is there an add-on that would do so?

I think you can discuss this requirement with your partners, this is quite special. It sounds like closingn a project and purchasing it as a fixed asset.

Ability to Capitalize a Project

In standard there is no such feature.
I have seen this being done, by registering a fixed asset directly, and a separate depreciation book for the "Building" stage. And register all purchases done against this FA. Once it is finished You move the value from one Depreciation book to default one.
But if You want to also register resource costs and some additional things, then this might not be the best case.

Could also use a Dimension for each Project, and once it is done, quickly get the total value for this.

Anyway to automate this, you would need to analyze the scenarios You have, and ask Your partner to develop this.
