HI all,

I would like to know if it's possible, with AX Project Module, to create a Project that could be use be multiple company. Or do we have to create the project in each company? Is there any automatic process to clone it right after the creation (if we need to create the project in each company)?

Example

Project RE0001

Company A

Company B

Company C

Each company could have expense related to Project RE0001, is it possible?

Does someone have some documentation about project module?

Thanks

    Hi Kashif,

Thank you for your answer. But do you know if there is a way to not use "intercompany invoices"? Because in our case, it's not only one company that could be in charge of a project. But maybe all company could contribute to the progress of the project, and each company need to pay there invoices in the country where they are located.

    Thanks

It is not possible as you described out of the box.

Some questions/statements to consider in providing your solution.

    1. What legal entity is the owner of the project.  I don't think the answer is all three. (Contributing and Owner are not the same)

    2. Who is the customer paying for the project and who is invoicing them.  It is not typical for a customer to be receiving invoices from multiple legal entities for a given project.

    3. Costs incurred on behalf the project are normally initially paid for by the legal entity incurring the cost. Afterwards there is a transfer price associated with working on behalf of the legal entity owning the project.  Transfer price setup provide numerous way to deal with the fees associated in lending resources to another legal entity.

    4. The intercompany invoicing is a managed process for accepting the work completed or charges made on behalf of the legal entity owning the project as these are the items which the customer will be invoiced.
