Problem on dynamics.dic

Hi,

I am adding new field in the Dynamics GP. I had created new table in the Dexterity, I started to change the dexterity mode to "TEST MODE" at that time I am facing problem like this

This shows "You need to run Dynamics.dic Utilities before you can run Dynamics.dic. Do you want to launch Dynamics.dic Utilities now?"

So that I read some blogs:

I tried what they told on that link. But I didn't help me. I have one doubt am I using the correct version.

My version is:

Dynamics GP: 12.00.1482(SP2)

Dexterity: 12.00.0270.000

Is this a correct version to work?

Note: I had downloaded the GP from partner source. I didn't do any upgrade or anything else.

    Hi Soma and Nataraj,

    Thanks a lot Ji. After a long time, I had added the table in SQL. Really thank you.

    Now I need to know how to add the field in the "customer maintenance" form. Can you send me some steps to do that.

    Have you tried the above step no: 5 suggested by nataraj?

    Hope you have already done all other steps.

    Hi Sathish,

    GP version & Dexterity version are matched? since suitable dictionary to be opened in test mode. unmatched dictionary results with error.

    1) please copy the GP Dynamics.dic from GP installation folder & paste the dic to the work location.

    2) now open the dictionary with dexterity & do customizations

    3) Backup Dex.ini from Dexterity installation folder.

    4) copy Dex.ini from GP installation folder & paste the file in Dexterity Data folder, Dex.ini will replaced with this step.

    5) Copy the GPDWIN32.dll from GP installation folder & paste in Dexterity installation folder.

    6) now launch the test mode.

    I am getting same error like this

    "Unhandled script exception:

    Could not load external 'DexIsODBCsqlDriver@GPDWIN32.dll'.

    EXCEPTION_CLASS_SCRIPT_MEMORY

    SCRIPT_CMD_EXTERN"

    Hi Satish,

    Please paste GPDWin32.DLL from GP installation location to Dexterity installation folder & follow the suggestion mentioned by Soma.

    When I go to test mode in Dexterity.

    Go to your GP installation folder and copy the Dex.ini file under Data folder. Then paste the file to Data folder under Dexterity installation location and click yes to override the original file. After pasted the file, now try to open GP from your development work area.

    Note: Before pasting the dex.ini file to dexterity path, make sure you have backup of original file from the dexterity installation path.
