Can you specify a non-default layout using AL via action > runobject "report"?

Our organization needs to offer 2 versions of a Job Quote. The first we have configured using the out-of-the-box report (1016) and are able to produce a report using Job > Print / Send > Send Job Quote. We would like to create a variation of this report with a few layout changes / some static text and add an additional action to Job Card.

Our question is: Is it possible to create a custom action on the Job Card through an extension, set RunObject = report "Job Quote" and then somehow further define which specific layout we want to use?

Is there a way to set the document layout using AL from the Job record?

Hi, Could you try the standard functions below?

    For example.

I have two custom layouts for 1016 Job Quote.

    Hope this will help.

In the current version i think substituting reports is the best option. And as MahGah says thing will be different in the next major release.

Please have a look at this link:

    Hi

    Please see this video  www.youtube.com/watch

Also, looks like Microsoft is adding report selection function into Wave 1 2022  https://yzhums.com/23358/
