I just lease a location with two Microsoft Dynamics 2.0 RMS terminals. Both terminals are password protected. How would I go about getting these terminals reset?
They are running on XP computers, is there an upgrade available?
How does this software compare to QB POS?

RMS is totally a change from QB, Microsoft Acquired the QB and then later upgraded with many feature sets, the first release was 1.2 then 1.3 and now the lastest is 2.0. For your password reset issue kindly confirm what hardware is it.
Can you access the database or not, if so then go to Administrator and then run the query to get the user password and id
select * from cashier.

Resetting the passwords properly for POS 2.0 requires a specialized tool which a Microsoft Partner should be able to help you with. If you are still working with the original partner, I would seek them out and request their assistance. If you you would want to speak with any of the RMS/POS partners on this forum or elsewhere (including my company) and they should be able help you get setup, though there may be some administrative hoops to jump through.
