I took inventory for use in our operations

Hello.  WE took some glue we had in inventory (a stock item to sell) and used it in our operations. Now my count is off, but we did actually use it.  How do I handle?

Thank you in advance

You could enter an inventory adjustment/variance from Inventory > Transactions > Transaction Entry to account for the item used.

Thanks Mike, but wouldn't that just lower overall inventory value and not account for the cost of taking

    the product and using?

Robin, if you change the account distribution for the Inventory Offset account in the transaction, it will credit inventory and debit whatever expense you choose.

    Hi Robin,

It sounds like you have a good suggestion to take care of this. Let us know if you need anything else.
