Dynamics SL - All screens crash when one F3's on a PV field.

HI, I would really appreciate help on this.
Client installation worked 100% since yesterday (16 May 2016)

  • Dynamics SL 2015
  • SQL Server 2012 standard (SL runtime)
  • Windows Server 2008 64bit

Yesterday we changed the server name to an IP address and, unfortunately, at the same time allowed a number of windows and security updates to run.

It also seems that Web Services Enhancements 2.0 SP3 installed itself during the update

Since then:

  • Dynamics SL works - web services are not installed
  • Data can be entered manually into a "PV" field but screen crashes when using F3

We did the following with no success:

  • Restored the previous days system database to a test database (on same server instance)
  • Re-imported PVRECS
  • Ran DB Update
  • Uninstalled Web Services Enhancements 2.0 SP3 and all updates

    It seems running DBB maintenance to restore all SP's, views and indexes resolved the issue
