HI,
The task field in subcontract maintenance uses a PV that displays all tasks of all statuses.
This is causing users to commit orders against inactive tasks.
The purchase order screen filters out inactive tasks.
I would think this is a design fault but cannot find any hot fixes or other communication on this.
I would appreciate if anyone would let me know of a hot fix if available?

I would think you would be able to customize the PV Lookup to filter out the inactive tasks, just like in the PO. Take a look at both PV's and then make the subcontract one look similar to the PO one.
Should have mentioned this occurs in SL 2011 FP1
