
Hi,
I've been having a problem recently with mailboxes getting stuck in the state : 'The email configuration test is in progress'.
All of my configuration settings seem correct, as I've done this before successfully and documented steps.
I ran 'Test & Enable Mailbox' on a mailbox and it has been stuck in this state for several days. I can not rerun until this is complete. I'm not sure where this process is held.
Any help would be much appreciated!

If it is an online tenant you may try logging a support ticket with MS. As I was facing same issue couple of weeks back.
Also check authentication setting in Email profile once. If it is ServertoServer currently, you can probably try to put it like 'Credentials Specified by a User or Queue' and then put Credentials in each Mailbox.
