Hi All,

I'm trying to bring CRM home page (main.aspx) in USD agent application.

I have followed below methods but none of them worked .

Method 1:

step1 : created hosted control Name: Home page

            USD component Type :CRM Page

 Hosting Type: IE Process

Allow Multiple pages :No

Application Global :unchecked

display group: MainPanel

Step2 : Action call

Name : Home navigate

Hosted Control*= Home Page

Action*= Navigate

Data=    url= main.apsx

step 3:

Hosted controls ->CRM Global Manager -> nav bar-> events -> DesktopReady-> Added active action + -> Home navigate

according to this tutorial video ( (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EZFLYctcQ_c) but it is not showing as in his video home page is coming.

method 2: following this method that is also not working : https://neilparkhurst.com/2015/11/01/usd-create-a-home-button-in-the-toolbar/comment-page-1/#comment-4564

    Hi Neil ,

I was not calling all the hosted controls , action calls, and events in the configuration.

Now it's coming fine but when it's loading it's showing Sales home page when using main.aspx

    Case-Home.JPG

I want Case home page like below

    Case-Home.JPG

if you see in the URL there also it is showing main.aspx.

By this I can get list all the cases and can get that Global Search bar. which is in blue strip.

If I'm calling Cases then that blue strip is not coming so that i can search also.

Hope You are getting what I want. in short in home page (main.aspx) instead of Sales , Service _>Case should come.

Please suggest me what I should do now .

    Hi Alok

This problem sounds slightly strange, as if you can get the home page to load from calling the action from a toolbar button I would expect that same action to work from DesktopReady.

Are you using the current version of USD? (Always worth checking!)

Srikanth is correct the Application is global option must be checked. But it sounds like you have done that now.

Are you confident you can see the required action being triggered when USD loads? (In the debugger.) Or alternatively are you seeing any errors in the debugger?

Exactly what does happen? Does nothing load or does a tab open that is blank? And do you get any popups?

For example, an IE window containing http://event?. If so, it could be an IE setting issue. See the blog post below if that is happening.

    Thanks

    Neil.

    Hi

Can you share a screenshot of the debugger window showing what are all the action calls called in DesktopReady ?

Have you placed any conditions ? What is the action you have added on to DesktopReady event? Can you open the debugger and see if the action is executing?

    Hi Srikanth,

I'm i made it as Global but still it is not loading home page

I want it on DesktopReady event when my agent gets ready it should show main.aspx page.

I'm able to call it on button but not able to call DesktopReady event.

You have to make your application as global. i.e. Application Global: CHECKED
