Record Level Security - How to apply query for several or all the companies

Hello;

I'm using the record level security to limit access to «Vendors-Groups » and «Items-Item number» for an specific role. But I realized that the query is applied only to the main company. I need this to apply to several companies, if not all of them. How can I do that? I don't find the way to apply the query to others companies.

Hi AnnabellR,

eXtensible Data Security (XDS) has for sure the possibility to restrict across multiple legal entities. This framework is a replacement for Record Level Security (RLS) which has been depreciated. I would suggest to take a look into XDS. On June 11 (2018), I will do a session about this topic as webcast for AXUG.

If you want to continue with RLS, you possibly have to duplicate your roles (not sure) which is not a desirable solution. The use of XDS would be more future compliant as RLS is not available anymore in Dynamics 365 for Finance and Operations.

You can do that by XDS

For RLS ; you can not do that.
