Cash drawer is parallel connection used to pass through parallel printer input to PC's parallel port. This was on the old XP machine. Got a new USB printer (Star TSP143U) on a brand new Core i3 Computer (no parallel port).
Do you think my very old cash drawer would work if I got a Parallel to USB adapter? If yes: Is there a generic OPOS driver I could use to make RMS 2.0 recognized the drawer?
System is Windows 7 Pro 64bit.
Thanks
J.S.

No.
The cash drawer must be connected to the new printer.
What you need is a proper cable to go from the new printer to the cash drawer.
Star to APG, Star to MMF, whatever.
Good news is it is easy and cheap!
