    RE: Create doughnut chart

    Hi,

    Thank you for your question.

This functionality is supported directly by xrmtoolbox product and I would suggest to check out their documentation on creating charts here: https://www.xrmtoolbox.com/documentation/
    or this blog post: https://crmchartguy.com/2017/06/10/edit-charts-in-the-xrmtoolbox-for-dynamics-365/

You can also check out this forum question on formatting charts: https://community.dynamics.com/crm/f/microsoft-dynamics-crm-forum/366847/how-to-format-chart

    Hope this helps!

    RE: Create doughnut chart

    Hi Nur_Nina,

As far as I know, we usually create a chart in Dynamics at first, then edit xml definition of chart with Advanced Chart Editor of xrmtoolbox.

Therefore, I'm not sure whether there is a xrmtoolbox plugin to create chart directly.

For your requirement, currently there is no method to merge multiple doughnuts of doughnut chart into one.

Indeed, the truth is that if there are more than 4 doughnuts in doughnut chart area, i.e: if there are 5 items, then they will be merged as a pie chart automatically.

In my test, I have 5 events, their start date range from 2020 to 2024, (count of events per year)

the graph of chart will be automatically converted to pie chart even if I have set the type to doughnut.

In a word, the behavior is by design.

If group items of your query are less than 4 and you don't want more than 1 doughnut, please change your chart type to pie instead.

    Regards,

    Clofly
