Purchase Orders Received/Not invoiced

Hello all!

We have over 17,000 PO lines that are received/not invoiced, and since they can't be migrated to D365 FO I'm looking for the most efficient way to handle them (aside from countless of manual hours).  If you've come across this and found a process please let me know.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi Heather,

In the most cases, there are no 17000 PO lines pending for an invoice. In that case, usually, the invoices will be posted as "expenses" in the new system. In your scenario, you might need some more control and could consider creating original POs and receive the 17,000 lines. This will also include more work as you need to deduct the quantities from the on-hand to be converted and post receipts in Dynamics 365. Also, you need to check how to enter the balance sheet as some postings will be done by receiving the PO lines.

    Hello Andre,

I need to explain the situation better - there are several POs received/not invoiced, the 17,000 lines is the total of those POs.

    Hi Heather Steinhauser,

As Andre mentioned, you may have to work on other areas too if you upload all these PO lines and then post product receipts in new system. Because in your case, product receipts are already posted and only invoicing step is pending. If you upload all these in new system, then you have to re-work on those lines again!

Else, alternatively you can do the following.

    1) Invoice all these product receipts outside new system and then provide expense balance to upload in new system.

    2) Then share whatever open lines are available now in those PO's. Those open lines can be imported in new system to proceed with those PO's further.

    Regards,
    Sourav
