How to set up safety stock planning in Business Central?

Dear team,

I have some sub materials and need to run MRP to calculate order quantity base on safety stock by period or season. How can I set up in Business Central?

Hi

I don't see how you could do that using standard business central, meaning to get a seasonal setup. Only ""workaround"" could be to use SKU and a location would be a season with its own safety stock.... Tricky to manage...

Next to this, maybe using lot for lot and forecast based on season demand...

Also maybe some apps could help but I must admit I did not use one around seasonal setup, maybe the community knows.

Standard BC will not accomplish this. You need to look at an APP addon like Stock IQ: https://www.stockiqtech.com/
