local currency change

how do change my local currency on the on prem version of business central, i had made transactions with the local currency so i want to change the currency

    If you haven't entered any transactions in a foreign currency then you can simply change your LCY currency in the General Ledger Setup Page. If you do have transactions in foreign currencies, then you can't change the local currency. In that case you will have to create a new company.

    in BC, local currency is one of the fundamental setup, the recommended approach is to create a new. Or you could consider use additional report currency, but it functions is only for reporting.

    No need to create a new company if transactions in a foreign currency have not been entered.
     
    The only location the local currency code is entered is in the General Ledger Setup Page, and its there for informational purposes really. There is no harm in changing it.
