Over Receipt Tolerance

Though there is an Over-Receipt Tolerance on the Item, it does not default onto a purchase order line.  Shouldn't it?

Am I missing a setup?

    Hi Kim 

    Over-receipt does not populate in PO line when you create the PO. However if you enter QTY more than ordered QTY it populate that field 

    To test: 

    1) Create PO and notice the Over - Receipt code is blank 

    2) then receive the QTY more than you ordered but in the range of Tolerance. 

    3) Notice how that field populate.

    As Mahgah says.

    I presume the reason for this is to trigger the check at the point of receipt rather than PO creation.

    If you have a long lead time, it is quite possible your over receipt policy could change between order entry and receipt.

    Wow, I never noticed this. I just played and though strange, it did not restrict me from over-receiving.
