Upsert triggers Retrievemultiple multiple times

We have a retrievemultiple step registered on a subgrid of the account form , the Grid triggers the retrievemultiple request & end successfully

But the same plug-in is fired again with same Depth with different context query ( first time of the grid , other times with from the retrieved records) due to the upsert request

So the plugin is triggered as many as the retrieved records.

The plugin calls a service to retrieve records from another system with integration & then i need to store these records in my environment
