User created the purchase credit note , then system will automatically create the inventory transactions also . After created user realized that no need to create the credit note ,hence record deleted from UI level , then purchase credit note got deleted ,but purchase credit note related inventory transactions not deleted , still lies as orphan record.

    Hi,

Can you run consistency check and see if it deletes the orphan record. Consistency check may take time, so it would be recommended to run after business hours or in batch mode.

System admin -> Periodic -> Database -> Consistency check

If possible, it will be good to check this in test environment.

On AX2009 we sometimes come across Inventory transactions that are out of synchronization with their parent document (for instance an Ordered inventory transaction related to an Ended production orders) - but personally I've never seen this on any of the AX2012 sites I've worked on.

Anyway, if the inventory transaction is 'Ordered' you can delete it (using the table browser).

After you do this you should run consistency check to check/fix the Item's on-hand records (although they will probably not need fixing).

Consistency check takes a long time to run. As Pranav says, best to run in batch - but for items you can run consistency check for just one item. It's a bit hard to explain but Select the module Inventory management - then click on the word Items and the Dialogue button should enable - that's gives you a select filter query to run consistency check on just the one item.

Thought I would add a screenshot to Tim's response since I was doing the legwork for a problem I'm having:

    System Administration>Area page>Periodic>Database>Consistency check

Thanks all for the solutions .

What do you mean by table browser and explain in details how to delete from table browser ?

    Any reply from pioneers ?

If you've never used the table browser before - using it to delete inventory transactions is "running before you can walk".

I suggest you try consistency check first, and if that doesn't work then talk to your support partner.
