R3 Warehouse Management mobile user 'stuck'

I have configured something around Sales order picking and, without going into too much detail of why, the mobile device has taken me down a path in which I am stuck.

I was attempting some pick work, and need to pick from multiple licence plates to complete the work. The pick from the second licence plate does not work, so I attempted to 'Short pick' and am now stuck at a point where the mobile device is asking for a location, and no location I am able to provide is good. And now, with this mobile user, I am not able to do anything else. Immediately on logging in to the hand held, I am asked to provide this location.

My question is not about how I got here, or what the error I am seeing means. My question is; how can I get back to the mobile device menu when I have gone down a dead end like this?

    Hi Terry,

    there is a form you can reach via AOT (the only way i know) "WHSWorkUserSession".

    You can cancel a session there but be aware. You might not be able to continue the work if it is stuck between a pick and a put and the items will remain on the user. But you can at least free the user.

    As far as my experience goes it can be very ugly if a user respectively a work is stuck. I still have no strategy to solve this problem properly.

    Greetings

    Nils

    Yeah, so your work is most probably screwed, at least it's going to be hard to figure out without debugging what exactly it does not like.

    But, as Nils suggests below, you can get the user back by killing his work user session

    The form is available in the menu under Warehouse management \ Common \ Work user sessions

    Thanks both.

    Nils, as Ivan says, that form appears in the Common menu.

    You were both right about the work getting screwed: 'You cannot cancel work that is on a user'. Not too worried about how I got stuck in the first place; it was for a containerised wave, and I've discovered elsewhere that containerisation is not the functionality I was looking for!

    Since I don't know what caused you to end in this messy situation, I cannot speak to this exact case.

    But don't be afraid to end the session while the work is in a between state. If all you need to do is to change a configuration and come back to the work, you can always restart the work at the exact point you left it.

    You need to configure a mobile device menu, example like this.

    Menu item name = AnyWork

    Title = AnyWork

    Mode = Work

    Use existing work = true

    Directed by = User directed

    Don't add any work classes.

    Add the menu to the menu structure and you can re-start anywork by scanning the work id.

    Hi Karina,

    thanks for the tip. I will try this for my cases.

    Forgot to mention the work user session form is on menu.

    You find it under warehouse management > Common > Work user sessions

    Hi all, is there any way to take over or unlock a work order locked by a mobile device user? The scenario is a user stuck when processing a work order using the mobile device. I can kill his/her session, but I still can't take over the work or at least un lock it so that it can be processed or cancelled.

    Any idea?

    Thanks

    Did you ever figure out an answer for work getting screwed?

    I have some work where the end user somehow overwrote the Target LP.

    @Josh Fraser, unfortunately there is no way to take over the session, you must use the same user login to try to complete the work.  Once you can login using that user try to complete the work either via client or mobile device as much as you can. In some cases you might need developer to fix the data from the back end. In some other cases it might just a simple work to correct the shipment/load quantity for example.

    Robert.  Unfortunately the problem that I have is somehow the end user overwrote the 'Target LP' with one that is in a location in the warehouse. So I cannot move it to Packing, or Move the 'Work' LP
